The crisis in Afghanistan after its takeover by the Taliban has influenced lotta reactions in India. Many of them as usual are toxic and misguided. Let’s talk about them…..

Palestine VS Afghanistan

Since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, something that is being pointed out a lot is the difference in voice for #SavePalestine and #SaveAfghanistan.
Although this staggering difference is true, the comparison is stupid. Let me explain why….

In the case of Palestine, the aggressor is Israel and Israel is a “democratic” country and an external force….

In the case of Afghanistan, the aggressor is the Taliban and the Taliban is a radical religious terrorist organisation and an internal force….

Social and political pressure works lotta more on democratic governments because they need to maintain a global image to benefit from global cooperation….

An islamic terrorist organisation doesn’t care about global image as they don’t have elections to win. And they know, they won’t be getting much global cooperation anyway. Their financial aid comes from back doors of power struggle and public image or civilian support has nothing to do with that….

“UN is useless”

No, they ain’t. The primary reason behind the existence of the UN is to prevent World War III and wars in general. And they’ve done a pretty good job of it….

It was the UN who organised the ceasefire in Israel-Palestine aggression. The situation in Afghanistan calls for UN intervention and there will be one. Just not immediately….

But in the meantime, do keep raising your voices for Afghanistan….

Although, unlike the Israel-Palestine aggression, it won’t affect the aggressors in Afghanistan. But it will pressurise the global leaders to intervene faster and with more resources….

Let’s start with the Indian government

The Indian government has actively started rescuing Indians from Afghanistan. They also intend to accommodate Afghan refugees. But, according to the statement put out by them, India will help Afghan “hindus and sikhs”….

Yes, even during tragedies and crises, this government doesn’t stop discriminating against muslims….

Yes, the Taliban is an islamic terrorist organisation. But most of their victims are also muslims. It’s simply because Afghanistan is a muslim majority country by a huge margin….

Yes, they discriminate against non-muslims. But they don’t hesitate in oppressing muslim, especially women.

“At least India is actively rescuing civilians”

Firstly, the Indian government is discriminating in the evacuation process.
Secondly, so is most other countries with similar resources.

“Even with 56 islamic nations, it was India who gave refuge to Rohingyas”

Nope, India didn’t. India was stuck with them till the government bent existing laws and brought new laws undemocratically and threw them out. Also, they tried taking refuge in India simply because India is a neighbour of Maynmar. Refugees from Syria, Sudan etc are not trying to enter India….

“We need this government to prevent this happening in India”

We don’t. India doesn’t have any strong radical islamic organisation with enough political power to bring an islamic revolution. Pretty much all the strong radical religious groups in India with political power are hindutva organisations. In fact, the ruling party BJP is a branch of RSS, the largest of them.

Afghan muslims didn’t elect the Taliban….

Indian muslims definitely didn’t elect the Taliban….

But guess who elected riot masterminds in a democratic country….
